Crandall Public Library Friends Gallery

Meet the Artist Reception May 2, 5-6:30pm
Tri-County Literacy Center will be sponsoring an art show and sale at Crandall Library this fall. The show will be from May 1 through May 31 at the Friends Gallery in Crandall Public Library, Glens Falls, NY. As an organization with community at the foundation of all it does, the theme will be “Celebrating the Art of Community”.
We are inviting artists from our community, those residing in Warren, Washington, and Saratoga Counties, to participate in the show. All of the art can be in any medium which can be hung on a wall.
Artists who participate in the show will receive half of the proceeds from the sale of their art and one-half of the proceeds will be a donation to TLC. All art displayed in this show will be for sale. We are asking that the pieces submitted for consideration have a retail value of no more than $200. If you are interested in taking part in “Celebrating the Art of Community”, please submit the dimensions, medium and a jpeg image of your piece to email@example.com, prior to April 10, 2024. After assuring that your piece meets our theme, we will get back to you within 15 days with the necessary paperwork. Artists may submit up to five pieces for consideration.
Our programs teach literacy skills to adults in Warren, Washington, and Saratoga Counties through practical, learner-centered education. We recruit and train volunteer tutors from the community who help learners attain a variety of literacy goals, providing them with the means to become more resilient and successful.
We feel art is the perfect vehicle to unite our diverse constituency of learners who come from both our neighborhood and from all over the world. As you know, art can be interpreted and appreciated no matter the language we speak or the level of our literacy.
